Junior Accountant (M/F/X)

Robert Half is currently looking for a Junior Accountant (m/f/x) for a long term mission.

The company, active in the chemical industry, is located in the south of Brussels (very easily accessible by public transport).

As a Junior Accountant, you will join a team of 2 people and your responsibilities will include:

• perform daily accounting tasks, including purchase, sale, bank transactions, manual entries, and payments;
• ensure accurate accounting data entry into the systems in place;
• handle VAT returns for various countries;
• monitor credit limits and overdue positions;
• analyze general ledger entries, including month-end accruals, payroll entries, and deferred expenses;
• review and analyze stock positions;
• actively participate in the monthly and quarterly closing processes.

The qualifications required for this position are as follows:

• a bachelor's degree in accounting is required;
• at least one year of experience in accountancy is necessary;
• the candidate must be fluent in English and the national language (French/Dutch); proficiency in other languages is considered an asset;
• a strong understanding of VAT is essential;
• the ability to work well in a team is important.
