Senior Fund Accountant Real Estate

To sustain our company´s growth, we are currently looking for a Senior Fund Accountant (m/f/x) for a permanent contract in order to work in the Real Estate team.

Our client is a service provider located near the Gare in Luxembourg offering administration and AIFMD services to top tier private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure clients.

Principal Responsibilities:

Operational Excellence

  • Prepare annual IFRS financial statements and cash flows for funds.
  • Conduct periodic investor reporting, including net asset value (NAV) calculation.
  • Review fund accounting prepared by junior team members.
  • Consolidate group accounts and coordinate year-end audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Luxemburg GAAP and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Facilitate efficient review processes for bank payments and supporting documents.
  • Assist in client billing and debt collection processes.

Client Relationship Management

  • Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication.
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients and third-party service providers.

Team Leadership

  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Delegate tasks, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
  • Review all work prior to sending to clients.
  • Support junior team members in handling complex transactions.
  • Participate in the recruitment process for new team members.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics
  • Min. 3 years of experience in fund accounting
  • Proficiency in Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS, with familiarity in US GAAP
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in French and/or German is beneficial
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
