Head of Operations

eCarsTrade is a b2b reseller of used (ex-lease, trade-in, short-term rental) cars. We have customers across Europe, and via our proprietary platform we auction cars and our own stock. We have a serious track record of profitable growth: 60% y-o-y for the last 3 y. With the ambition to become a major player in the industry, we are looking for a Head of Operations. Responsibilities: Partner with Finance, Product & IT to improve, streamline and automate processes Ownership & Leadership of Business Operations Team (~10 people) Supplier purchase to pay: VAT & tax compliance, orders / invoices Customer order to cash administration: proforma / invoice; VAT & tax compliance Fulfilment processing: inbound & outbound logistics, filing of required documents (pickup authorizations, CMRs,…) & administration in our system Development of operations team Coaching, mentoring, competence development Hiring, recruiting growing team Procedures design & task distribution Maintaining healthy, happy work atmosphere Performance Management: set up and monitor of automated KPIs International Expansion Collaborate in setting up branches abroad Ensure processes designed are compatible with international operations Quality assurance process setup & operations (together with mechanics) Presales quality process: defective parts ordering & replacement Aftersales quality process optimization: claims management Requirements: A demonstrated record of servant leadership; strong, empathic people management, able to detect and defuse conflicts Your DNA is digital. Accelerating a business by turning a paper-based process digital gets you out of bed in the morning. You’re proficient in Excel and BI applications. You’re able to combine an end-to-end view with eye for detail, not afraid of getting your hands dirty You have at least a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain or a related field You have 5-7 years of experience Firsthand experience with intracommunity (b2b cross-border EU) sales processes: business, supply chain & logistics, understanding of accounting and VAT treatment Conceptual & analytical problem-solving skills, including effective synthesis & communication Self-starter able to work autonomously Listening, persuasion & influence skills, empathy General understanding of modern process automation tools: OCR, AI (incl. what it can and can’t do) Experience with backoffice offshoring / nearshoring is a plus You are fluent in English and Dutch or French.
